The Independent Schools Inspectorate makes its interim CEO, Caroline Hoare, permanent

Caroline Hoare, who joined the Independent Schools Inspectorate in July 2018 as its CEO, has been appointed to the role on a permanent basis.  The Board is delighted that Caroline has agreed to stay on and is confident that, together with the Chief Inspector Kate Richards, ISI will go from strength to strength.  Since joining, Caroline’s focus has been on implementing the new governance arrangements, as well as developing the team at ISI and investing in our people to enable the delivery of a first-class inspection service.  Going forward, Caroline will lead on the development of ISI’s strategic plan for 2019 – 2022.

ISI is also delighted to announce two new appointments to the executive team.  Selina Bhattacharyya has been appointed as Head of People.  Selina joined from Meggitt, a global aerospace company, and will focus on employee engagement, culture change and development of our performance management systems.  Vivien Kelly has been appointed as Communications Manager.  She joined from the Government Equalities Office and her appointment reflects ISI’s desire to foster an open and productive dialogue with all our stakeholders.  ISI is committed to being a transparent and outward-looking organisation, working collaboratively with partners to continuously improve our services and accomplish our organisational mission of ensuring that all children and young people in education are safe, secure and well-educated.
