ISI partners with AGBIS to deliver RSE-themed webinar series

ISI has teamed up with AGBIS to deliver a series of free RSE-themed webinars.

The sessions will be delivered by Vanessa Ward (ISI Chief Inspector-Chief Executive) and Richard Harman (AGBIS CEO).

The first webinar (16:00-17:30 on Wednesday 30 June) will focus on the recommendations for schools from Ofsted’s review of sexual abuse in schools and colleges, published earlier this month. This will discuss the implications for school leaders and governors, plus share a series of practical suggestions and resources to support schools’ engagement with the issue of peer-on-peer sexual harassment and abuse, including online.

The second webinar (16:00-17:30 on Thursday 2 September) will provide an overview of the Government’s new RSE policy. This will explore the implications for implementation, plus signpost schools towards a series of evidence-informed resources and pedagogical approaches to support delivery of their RSE curriculum.

The final webinar (16:00-17:30 on Monday 13 September) will focus on how to promote a positive school culture for all pupils. This will include an emphasis on how to hear what pupils say, parental engagement and ensuring staff are confident in responding to allegations of peer-on-peer sexual harassment and abuse, including online. It will also discuss the importance of multi-agency working to promote effective safeguarding practices.

Schools can sign up to all webinars on the AGBIS website.
