Chief Inspector appointed as Fellow of CCT

Kate Richards, our Chief Inspector, has been appointed as a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching. She was nominated for fellowship by the College’s CEO, Dame Alison Peacock.

The College was granted Royal Charter status in 2017 and acts as a professional voice of teachers in the U.K. Its mission is to improve the quality of education for children and young people by supporting teachers, championing great teaching and raising the status of the profession. Fellows are appointed in recognition of their expertise and experience in teaching, and the contribution they continue to make to improvements in education.

Kate’s appointment is tribute to her extensive experience and deep commitment to children and young people. It also recognises the important role ISI inspections play in enabling children to be safe, well-educated and to thrive.
