Are schools still be required to complete a self-evaluation form (SEF)?

Inspectors will want to see current self-evaluation and school development planning information, although there will no longer be a requirement for school leaders to present this information in a prescribed format (as under the previous ISI inspection framework). Inspectors will consider a school’s self-evaluation in any form that is used for their own quality assurance processes.

ISI has published supporting guidance for schools who would like to use the structure of ISI’s framework for their ongoing self-evaluation.
