Q Will inspectors want to see samples of marked work from all year groups during the inspection?
A

This is not a requirement in advance of inspection.

Schools should use their usual processes of quality assurance when monitoring pupil progress and achievement.

Inspectors do not require schools to photocopy work for inspection nor to retain pupils’ work specifically for inspection.

Usually, inspectors will wish to speak to pupils with their work in meetings or in classrooms, when inspectors are observing lessons. However, the reporting inspector may ask for specific work samples, if necessary.
