Q What should the school/headteacher do if concerned for the headteacher's/your own wellbeing during the inspection?
A

Firstly, let the reporting inspector know as quickly as possible about your concern. The reporting inspector will take advice from a senior member of staff at ISI about the situation.

If you don’t feel able to speak to the reporting inspector, phone ISI on 0207 600 0100, explain that your school is currently being inspected and you are concerned for the headteacher's/your own wellbeing and ask to speak to a senior member of staff directly. The senior member of staff at ISI will listen carefully. Having discussed with the DfE if possible, ISI will advise on the most appropriate way forward.

If possible, you should let someone at the school know about your concern, and the proprietor/chair of governors.
