The final KIT meeting will take place after inspectors have reached their judgements and confirmed their evaluations in their final team meeting.
At an agreed time after 16:00 on the final day of inspection the reporting inspector and the headteacher will have a final keeping-in-touch meeting. In this meeting, the reporting inspector will give a brief overview of provisional inspection findings. The reporting inspector will give feedback by reference to sections of the ISI inspection framework in summary statements.
The reporting inspector will share the provisional findings on the extent to which standards are met. Where standards are provisionally not met, the reporting inspector will provide overview of the evidence. The reporting inspector will also share recommended next steps, and/or where standards are not met, areas for action.
The proprietor or representative is invited to observe this meeting. A team inspector will also attend to take notes of the meeting. The school may bring a note taker. As a result, the total number of people present in the final KIT meeting will not exceed five.
The other team inspectors should remain on site during the final KIT meeting. There will be a brief final team meeting after the final KIT meeting during which the reporting inspector will thank the team and ensure that all of the evidence has been uploaded to ISI’s portal.
The team inspectors (other than the one requested to join the final feedback meeting) will leave the school site once the final team meeting has concluded.
